ACS has been appointed to provide cleaning services to the prestigious Newmarket Racecourses, the Rowley Mile course and the July course, for the year 2009.

The company, based just outside Newmarket, won the contract even though it was up against event cleaning specialist companies. ACS will be responsible for providing full facilities preparation, event cleaning, litter picking and window cleaning at both courses.

ACS is a professional office and commercial cleaning company based in Exning, Newmarket with over 25 years of industry experience and clients ranging from food manufacturing plants to research and development laboratories. 

Newmarket is the historic home of horseracing and is considered by many as the greatest horseracing centre in the world. It offers a treasure trove of sights and sounds for the racing enthusiast. The spring racing opens at Newmarket on the Rowley Mile, the ‘Course of Champions’, during April and May. Nineteen race days will be run at the course.

The modern and imposing Rowley Mile boasts world class facilities as well as world class racing. Today’s course is identified by the magnificent Millennium Grandstand, and ACS has been working hard with the team from Newmarket Racecourses to bring this impressive building up to standard prior to the start of the season. Special care and attention has been given to the terrazzo flooring which has been restored to its full glory using diamond polishing, and the windows cleaned to provide the race goer a perfect view of the course.

ACS has used its expertise in repairing and restoring floors to help restore one of the wooden floors in the famous thatched roofed weighing room.
