A biodegradable heavy duty clean-up wipe for all types of tradesman has been jointly developed by waterless cleaning specialist Sycamore UK and Dulux.
The new Industrial Green Big Wipe has the same broad cleaning powers as standard Big Wipes but unlike its predecessors will decompose, and is therefore additionally suited to applications involving the removal of non-hazardous substances where the wipes can be disposed of in the normal waste or composted with 'green' waste where these facilities exist.
Available nationally through Dulux Decorator Centres, Travis Perkins or online via www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk, the new environmentally-friendly wipes are disposable, plant-derived viscose fabric cloths which have been pre-impregnated with a new natural oil based cleaning solution* which is also biodegradable.
These industrial strength wipes will swiftly remove all traces of oil and water based paints, varnish, instant grab adhesives, silicone and acrylic sealants, PU foam, oil, tar, grease, permanent marker and general grime from hands, tools and surfaces; and they can even remove fresh paint spills from clothes, curtains and carpets.
Dermatologically tested and fully compliant with the recently updated EU Cosmetics Directive**, these wipes are kind to hands - even to sensitive skin. With added vitamin E and Aloe Vera, they condition the skin and leave it pleasantly scented.
The generously sized 20x30cm ready-to-use cloths come in foil-sealed tubs of 80 which have an airtight lid to keep the contents moist once the seal has been broken.

* The new Industrial Green Big Wipes formulation comprises the following ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Dimethyl Adipate, Dimethyl Glutarate, Dimethyl Succinate, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol, Sodium Bicarbonate , Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis, Phenoxyethanol.
** The European Cosmetics Directive (76/768/EEC and its subsequent amendments) aims to guarantee the safety of cosmetic products for human use. Due to the frequent amendments made to this directive as the science of chemicals advances, products should be continually reviewed for compliance and certificates updated at least every 18 months.
