    Colour grading system for tissue

Metsa Tissue has announced the availability of three new quality grades of Katrin tissue paper, each with a distinct colour, designed to enable its customers to easily select the right product for the right away-from-home washroom application.

The new grades are known as 'Plus', 'Classic' and 'Basic' and are easily identified by their colours of silver, red and orange respectively. The Plus range represents Metsa's top-of-the-range product and is the ideal choice for demanding users. Classic is the most comprehensive range, and the Basic range offers customers a highly cost-effective product best suited to daily usage situations.

Metsa Tissue is confident that its new colour grading system will provide its growing customer base with a quick and easy way to select the correct tissue product with reduced levels of consumption, waste, cost and time spent on maintenance.

    Vileda wipes on a roll

MicroRoll is the latest addition to Vileda Professional’s microfibre cloth range, a 100% microfibre, disposable wipe - on a roll.

Independent tests on MicroRoll have proved that it in just one wipe it achieves over 99.9% reduction of both C.Diff and MRSA bacteria - without the need to use any chemicals. What’s more it delivers the same low linting, streak free cleaning performance as Vileda’s Quickstar Micro durable microfibre cloths.

MicroRoll can be used as a disposable in hygiene sensitive areas or can be machine washed up to five times. Available in five colours, each MicroRoll contains110 perforated cloths measuring 35cm x 25cm. The rolls can be incorporated on Vileda’s Origo trolley so they can be carried around easily when working in a number of different areas.

Tork wipes - When less is more

We are all trying to cut down on the amount of waste we produce as the environmental message hits home. So how can we prevent the over-consumption of disposable wipers in the industrial workplace? SCA Tissue Europe’s Mark Riley explains how an efficient dispensing system can reduce waste wipers - and costs - in the workshop.

An increasing number of companies these days are showing a renewed respect for the environment. They are urging their employees to recycle wherever possible, they are saving energy where they can and they are also striving to reduce the amount of waste produced on their premises.

    Graffiti removal wipes

Pal International provides a comprehensive range of wipes designed for use in many applications and industrial sectors, from engineering through to janitorial, healthcare, food manufacturing and office.

The range includes hard surface disinfectant wipes and hand sanitising wipes, through to more specialised products such as industrial hand degreasers, personal protective equipment wipes and clinical surface wipes. In addition to its established range of disinfectant and cleaning wipes, Pal Graffiti Removal Wipes have been developed to provide effective removal of graffiti from smooth and non-porous hard surfaces.

These large robust wipes effectively dissolve paints, inks and adhesives and are ideal for use in industrial environments and by cleaning and janitorial services.
Convenient to use, Pal wipes deliver the correct dose of pre-mixed solution to the surface.

New from Tork are compact packs of Tork Premium 530, 520 and 510 multipurpose cloths. These 32cm x 39cm wipers are designed for cleaning, wiping and polishing tasks in environments such as manufacturing, food industry and office cleaning.

The new format is ideal for mobile engineers and smaller workstations where there is insufficient space for a wall-mounted dispenser. Each pack gives out only one cloth at a time to control consumption, and the plastic wrapping of the packs helps to prevent product contamination.
