A second gold for Mitie
MITIE is celebrating winning a Gold RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Award in its cleaning and environmental business for the second year in a row.
The RoSPA awards aren’t just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work but also help to ensure that businesses have good health and safety systems in place. By entering the awards, a business reinforces how seriously it takes health and safety and that it can clearly demonstrate its achievement to a high level.
This year’s 2009 RoSPA Occupational Safety Awards ceremonies for achievement award winners will take place this month at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel and continue to be sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.
Martyn Freeman, managing director of MITIE’s cleaning and environmental business, said: “Good health and safety processes are paramount.
Winning the RoSPA award for the second time in a row proves that what we’re doing in the workplace is right and that we have the correct processes in place to look after our people. We will strive for continuous improvements in our processes and look forward to the awards ceremony in May.”
