CPD and Rovers team up

Two Hull-based organisations have announced a sponsorship deal with a difference. Cleaning and office supplies specialist, CPD plc, has teamed up with Hull Kingston Rovers for the rest of the 2008 season. The Sutton Fields company has agreed to join the Super League club’s growing list of commercial supporters in return for a deal to supply cleaning and sanitary products to the Craven Park stadium.

Ian Warvill, CPD’s commercial director, said: "It makes good sense for the two organisations to be working together. In a way, we’re both striving to put Hull on the map and we felt the sponsorship-commercial arrangement was a simple way of bringing benefit to both teams."

Rovers’ chief executive Paul Lakin said: "I’m delighted that such a well respected local company as CPD is supporting Hull KR with its advertising and hospitality package. It’s so important for professional clubs to receive support from companies within their area and especially when the company in question has such a good reputation."
